I recently stayed at a wonderful hotel for a relaxing getaway and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The Viking Buffet was a standout, offering an impressive variety of delicious meals that catered to all tastes. I loved the rooftop bath, especially while watching the sunrise and stargazing in the evening. The friendly staff made my stay enjoyable despite the language barrier, and I appreciated the really good ocean view from my spacious Japanese-style room. Their well-stocked manga library and soothing massage chairs were perfect for unwinding after a long day.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Comfortable and spacious rooms with traditional Japanese futon and tatami. The view by the bay was fine, perfect for both sunrise and night city life. The onsen was a great experience, especially on weekdays when it's not too crowded. Dinner had delicious options with both Western and Japanese cuisine. The surrounding area had a variety of traditional restaurants serving authentic Beppu food.

Being right on the sea is one of the few positive points of this hotel. Guests can enjoy the waterfront view or take a walk by the bay. Some of the rooms have big windows with a great ocean view. there is a small onsen available in-house, allowing guests to experience the Japanese style bath.
The staff is uninterested and unhelpful, making guests feel unwelcomed and unappreciated.

The hotel's central location was very convenient for exploring the city. It was just a short walk away from the train station, shopping centers, and the sea. The sea view from the room was stunning and made for a great start to the day. the staff was friendly and helpful and the buffet dinner was delicious and reasonably priced.
The hotel's age was starting to show in the furniture, especially in the rooms and corridors. The rooms were spacious, but the carpet and some surfaces looked worn out.

The hotel's location was fantastic, just a short walk from the train station and close to shopping centers. I was also impressed with the beautiful view of the seaside from the room. The breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options.
The furniture in the room seemed a bit outdated and worn, but it didn't affect my overall experience. The lack of WIFI in the rooms was a bit inconvenient, but the free internet in the lobby made up for it. It's a great choice for those who plan on exploring the city and spending less time in the room.
